Since I am a mac user, the programs I use are almost ubiquitous with other mac users: -Safari -Adium -iTunes These are used almost every moment I am on my computer, and I think it reflects the most frequent uses on a computer: internet surfing, chatting, and listening to music. I imagine analogous programs on Windows will be the most common too, like FF, Trillian/Digsby/AIM/etc, and Winamp

One of the programs I have to use quite frequently is "Excel". That's the program for doing economic evaluations of businesses, and it is very useful in my job on a day-to-day basis.
