The demand on diamond, and jewelries are low

In the period of recession, not many people are fancy about the diamonds, a piece of rock, or the jewelry pieces, except the real gold. For instance, the sales on Tiffany's are 70% low. Even you have a a ring with real diamond on it, the pawn shop only give you an extreme low price for it, because the market demand is so low now. So, Gold still the best thing to replace cash, or other currencies. You can carry it anywhere, and exchange something else.
