Have you ever accidentally mixed up laundry loads?

I must be sleep deprived. I mixed in some whites with a a dark load. I just started putting clothes into the machine absent mindedly. I didn't even notice until it was time to put them in the dryer. Luckily nothing got ruined.

Yes I have and htat is what my husband does all the time with his. He just mixes then and dries them. Nothing fades or nothing so they come out okay but IF I don't have enough clothes to wash two loads I will sometimes do that also. But now the washer is messed up so I am the washer till we either get it fixed or a new one.

I have done that before. I haven't done that in a long time, but I have done it before. The worst thing is that they come out splotched. If you watch TV shows they always show them coming out perfectly pink (from a red sock.) But, in reality they do not come out perfectly dyed. That would be nice if they did, you could still wear it then . I often wash lights with dark, but it is after the clothes are no longer new. SO, they don't dye anything.

I am always mixing whites in with the dark clothes. I wash all my sons clothes together usually. The only white he really has though is socks and underwear. They never get ruined by darker clothes.

Lots of times some colored ones get mixed with the whites and hubby always teased me about it. I use bleach on whites so sometimes the colored ones gets lighter lol.

Yah. Since I do the laundry. I made a mistake twice already. But the good part about it is that nothing bad happened. Hehehe.

I haven't done it for quite a good while now. The last time it was new blue jeans that I just threw in absentmindedly with a bunch of other stuff, and all my underwear and light colored stuff ended up dyed blue. Some of it actually looked ok lol. At least it almost all came out with repeated washing and rinsing. DUH!! This winter my little wool vest somehow made it into the laundry basket and got hid in something else I was throwing in, it shrunk up and now could be a doll sweater. Guess I should pay a little more attention huh?!

Ya I did this more than once. I put a red shirt in with my whites and everything turned red I had to rewash all the clothes.
