The evening started out with Matt Giraud singing Let's Get It On. He was very good. He had a nice vocal range, clear high notes and his voice was well suited to the song. Simon said he was brilliant. Kris Allen was next. He sang How Sweet It Is. He started off with the chorus in a very slow pace and then got wound up with the first verse. It was not a copy of any performance of the song I had ever seen. He chose to play the guitar this week. He drew the crowd in with his performance. Scott MacIntyre sang You Can't Hurry Love. He played the piano of course, but this time the back-up singers were close to the piano and he didn't look as uncomfortable as he has in the past. He was good, but not great. Megan Joy sang For Once In My Life. She was an absolute train wreck. She was very childish and seemed to scream the song. Her voice is not smooth and is irritating to me. Anoop Desai gave another good performance. He sang OOOh Baby Baby. It was very good if not very exciting. He had a good range and was very smooth. Michael Sarver sang Ain't too proud to beg. I thought it was better than last week, but the judges were very hard on him. Simon said he was a participant of AI but had no chance to win. Lil Rounds chose to sing Heat Wave. She did an excellent job in my opinion. The judges were not quite as excited as I was though.Randy thought she rushed through the song. Kara thought she chose the wrong song. Paula thought she owned the song. Simon thought she stayed true to the Motown sound but did have "a moment". Adam Lambert was next. He sang Tracks of My Tears. It was a complete surprise to me that he chose to sing it in a completely different style that what we have seen from him so far. It was very soft and sensual. It was very moving. It was great! This time the judges had the same opinion. Up next, Danny Gokey. He sang Get Ready. The song was very well suited to his voice. He sang well and had a good performance. He even danced with the back-up singers a little bit near the end of the song. I loved his performance. And finally, Allison Iraheta. She gave a performance of Papa Was a Rolling Stone. It was another solid performance by the youngest contestant. She is way beyond her years. Her performance was amazing. The judges gave her a lot of praise. Some thought it was her best effort yet. So there you have my take on tonight's show. Michael or Megan should leave tomorrow. What is your opinion on who should leave?

You hit it all right on.. It will either be Michael, or Megan the leave tomorrow. My three favorites are Danny, Adam, and Allison, and they all did great tonight.... seeing Adam the way he was and in a suit, was great. I think he was the one to do the best tonight.

for the show, gotta give it to allison and adam... for the sound, gotta give it to anoop... sorry but it wasn't boring to me, call me crazy but i get really giddy when he hit the falsetto... he got the best studio version (IMO) i only play the songs from the boys again and again, to be more specific, anoop, adam, kris and matt, even if i don't like adam, i must admit that the live version was a nice song to listen to...i still like david hernandez' "papa was a rolling stone" even if allison rocked it...

Adam Lambert by far was a standout for me, you know it is good when Smokey Robinson give you standing o, and it was one of his songs. The judges could not walk him after that. I agree that it is Michaels turn to go he was in bottom two last week and it was country week which was his strongest. He just seems out matched versus every one else.
