suitable foods for summer

hai friends As we are going to face the summer seasons in the coming month we have to maintain our body condition.we have to be aware of the foods that has to be taken in summer season.Can you list which will better for this summer. suresh

I don't know about what is "best" to eat in the summer but I tend to eat a lot of "light" foods. Not light in the sense of low-fat, necessarily, but not the heavy, hearty foods that most people think of as "comfort foods." I eat a lot of fruits, berries, raw or grilled fresh local grown veggies, grilled chicken and fish, rice, pasta with just a little butter instead of sauce... I just don't have as much appetite when the weather is hot.

hi yes its the summer season and it started here to be scorching. in this summer ,its good that we take lot of food rich in vitamins and fat free.and we need to take lot of fruits which are rich in water content,the excellent fruit would be water melon as it is fatfree and contains 90% water. one should avoid outside junk food and take lot of fruit juices ,salads and lite food which is healthier and rich in vitamins. bye

Fresh fruits and vegetables of any kind are always a good choice. Salads, lean meats on the barbecue - you can make shishcabobs, stir frys, cottage cheese (1%), avoid fruit juice - it's high in sugar, drink plenty of water and eat whole grains.
