So what do you do to see the dates or mark a specific date?

I do have a calendar in every room of my house. Calender is very useful as i do mark the days when my domestic help doesnt come or like if my newspaper man doesnt srop my paper outside my mail door. Also to see the govt holidays which are given in calender so i know which day college is off:D

see dropofrain it depends upon the situation. When you wish to refer any specific holiday or any kind of details regarding that date instead of your mobile you will prefer calender. But if you wish to know the date for coming future like for reserving a ticket on particular date and you are outside then you will surely utilise your phone . we often check mobile for reminders and all but can you see the details of any place which is given in calneder's back page. can you see astrology or details of holidays in your mobile. So, both have unique features and both are still being utilised according to need

Hi there dropfrain. I still have a calendar in my room and also in our house. Its still good to have one even if i can see it in my cellphone since the calendar is just a glimpse away. I tend to misplace my cellphone and the computer is not always open so having a calendar is still a better idea. So even if other people have no use already of this kind of stuff, it didn't reduced its importance for me.

I have a calendar in my room, hanging on the wall, it is quite big. Like you said, we can check the dates from cellphone or laptop. But sometimes im lazy to check it on the cellphone, so i will look at my calender, just see, its easier to look on it than opening my cellphone or switching on my laptop. So, it still usefull for me :), i use cellphone to alarm me when i have some appointments or my friend's birthday.

I have calendars to decorative purpose like ones with photos of tropical islands and beaches. I often look up dates say I know I have a meeting on 6th May and then I find out it will be a Wednesday. I write important dates in my diary never on any of my calenders. The Internet is great because I can look back to a year that was sometime ago. Like I can see a date in 2006 and I would have thrown out calendars that old. my calendars are all for 2009. My laptop tells me the time and the date and so does my mobile phone.
