Opportunities are wide in the IT field, especially now when computer usage is popularly used. My sister is an IT graduate and she is now lecturing IT in one of the colleges in Australia. Good prospect for IT specialist. Go for it as you will never be left unemployed in this field.

I work in a college as an IT and AV techncian. It really depends on your qualifications because there's alot of competition and many companies are asking for degrees and higher certifications such as MSCEs or CCNP. If you do not have these, you'll need to get enrolled on a course immediately if you really want to get into IT. Theres loads of opportunities available. You could go into networking or computer repair, even lecturing in the field of IT if that would be something you'd want to do.
