How long does it take for a Squidoo lense to get in the search engines?

I made three of them and I am wondering how long it takes for them to hit the search engines? How many lenses do you have?

Unfortunately, search engines are a law unto themselves because they keep changing the algo-rhythms (i.e the way they view and list sites). I have heard that it can take months or up to a year to get a decent listing and that depends on the competition. The bigger sites, have experts. A Squidoo lense has to be keyword rich without too much competitions from others lenses in the same genre.. Good luck anyway... - Derek

After you create a lens (page) on squidoo, you must promote it. You need relevant tags (the tag option is to the right of the lens when you're in your dashboard). For instance, if you wrote about getting a new dog, you might use tags like "dog training", "healthy dog", "dog shots", "dog toys", "walking your dog", and so forth. And don't forget; every time you make changes to a lens, you must publish it again or the new changes won't show up. You can "ping" your lens through squidoo by using this link: http://squidutils.com/ping-lens.php I also use Pingoat: http://www.pingoat.com/ Ping your lenses every time you update them, but you shouldn't ping them otherwise. Keep making new squidoo lenses and link them together if the subjects are similar. You can also make a "lensography". Here's mine. Every time I make a new lens, I add it to this lensography. I ping the new lens and also ping my lensography. http://www.squidoo.com/burntchestnut-squidoo-lenses There's no way to predict when your lens will hit search engines. All you can do is promote it and hope.

Some get in right away and others don't. Pick out the right keywords and use squidutils ping tool will help.
