I love strawberries and other types of berries. I especially like looking for new and unique recipes using strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc. Now that's it's spring and coming up on berry season, I was hoping to find some new recipes to try out. I love salads with berries and cheese, dinner recipes with berry sauces, and any dessert recipes of course! Just wondering if anyone has some delicious or unique recipes they'd like to share. Thanks!

I am a strawberry lover!!!! I have a ton of recipes, but here's one that is very popular in my picky household. Best Strawberry Shortcake 1 loaf of Sara lee pound cake (frozen)thaw before serving(ofcourse) half carton of strawberries (sliced and soaked in sugar water) heat sugar water up until melted and let cool before placing strawberries, then let cool until sweetened One tub of extra creamy cool whip just slice the pound cake to desired size, then place strawberries on top of cake, and then top with cool whip. Its just that easy. You don't have that sponge taste that you get from shortcake. This also works on angel food cake and any other typpe of berry mixture. This sweet never lasts long in my house. :)

That sounds delicious, I'll have to make that soon. Another good way to eat strawberries is dipped in a little bit of sour cream and the brown sugar, sounds strange, but it's good. You can go through a carton of strawberries pretty quickly doing that!

I love fresh berries. One recipe that I have enjoyed was one that my sister shared with me. You take a simple crust that is made from sugar cookie dough. You can either make it from scratch or buy the ones that are pre-made and spread it out on a pizza pan. Bake it until golden brown. Spread Cool Whip on the crust (when it is cool) and top with sliced strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi. You can also sprinkle a bit of coconut on top of this too. Yummers!
