My 3 year old daughter is in preschool. She goes 2 days a week for 3 hours each day. I am looking at a new preschool for her, but she will go monday thru friday from 8-2:30. Do you think she is too young & that is too much? Opinions please!

I think it's ok. As long as your daughter is enjoying her school days, that would fe fine. Kids at that age seems to be so curious with anything and does always something that would satisfy their curiosity. My daughter is 2 1/2 year old and she's in preschool. At first, I thought I'll be having problems like she'll be crying inside the classroom or does't want to mingle with other kids. I asked her if she wants to go to school because I want to know her decision and she said,"yes". So, I enrolled her in a preschool just a few blocks away from our house. Now, she's enjoying it like coloring, writing and singing. Her first few days is expected to be a terrible one because she is still adjusting in her new environment. But now, she's doing fine in school. I have a suggestion. If you want buy some flash cards of alphabets, colors and numbers and post it in her room so that she'll get to see it everyday just like in her school and sing with her. *wink*

I think it just depends on your daughter! Is too much for her or will she benefit from it? I don't think there is any way based off of age alone that someone can answer this. Maybe she'll end up loving up it!! :)

She loves school now! She wants to be there more than she is but i am worried that if i start her going everyday now she wont want to go when she has to go to all day kindergarden...

I think that is way too long and too much for a 3 year old. She might enjoy it but she will have so many years of school to come. My son is in prep and I see 5-6 year old kids that just cant cope with 8:45-3:15 for 5 days. At that age kids still need a bit of freedom.

It all depends on your daughter. My 2 girls go Tuesday through Friday 8:30-12:30. I wish it were longer and I think so does my 5 year old. If she doesnt adjust well to change, chances are this will be really hard on her going from 6 hours a week to about 20 hours aweek. I would try talking to her about it see if she would like to go to a different school for a little bit longer every day. Chances are if she likes playing and plays well with other children, she will probably adjust just fine. It may just take her a week or so to realize there are different children.
