I had learned chinese during my primary school years. So speaking chinese is not a problem to me. Only writing chinese is aproblem to me now, since it had been many years l didn't practice writing it. Actually, l likes to watch chinese films especially those from taiwan, china and hong kong.

I'm half chinese (my mother is), so I read and write mandarin fairly well. I come from a society where most of my friends' mother tongue is chinese =P I think Japanese and tamil are much harder though..

Hi, I am a Chinese who knows how to write Chinese Characters. However, my Chinese language ability is only up to Primary school level. I don't study Chinese subject after that. I still read chinese newspapers during my leisure so that I don't return back what I learned to the teachers.

I think it depends on what is your what kind of symbol your use to record your native language. People who use letter to record their language is harder to write Chinese Character than those who use symbol similar to character. Asia people such as Japanese and Corean are easy to learn Chinese Chatracer than European.
