Yes, I'm definitely into online teaching. You can buy a laptop and take it everywhere you want. I know I do most of my online work during actual class hours. So, I'm multitasking doing two things at once. Is that incredible or what? So why is online classes better? Well, you can log on and do your work at 2 AM in the morning. I tend to sleep in classes when in too long. They're boring and it tends to be a waste of time. Also, you dnn't have to waste so much gas from taking online classes. I know a lot of people who complain about wasting gas and stuff like that. What if you have to drive 100 miles a day, you can just take an online class and there 150 times every second back and forth. Also, online classes are much better because you get the lecture notes right there, you can study them and stuff. So, there's a lot of reasons.

I just completed my winter quarter and 2 of my classes were online. I suppose because I am old-fashioned I really miss the classroom environment. I was left to my own devices and even though I made A's I do not feel as though I learned as much as I would have in a traditional classroom setting. I can see taking online classes for a refresher, but when learning something for the first time it is better to have an actual teacher.

It's just fine. Though you weren't able to study in the "real" classroom setting, what you learned online is still something that you should be proud of. Remember that we can learn not only inside the four walls of the classroom but also learn from the four sides of our computer... =)

I really like online coaching but not necessarily teaching certain subjects following certain sylibus. This is more to tuition online classes which uses the service of person to person teaching. I think I am quite talented in personal counseling but not in a formal way. I find that people appreciate what I tell them because I always tell them the truth but in a polite way and in a manner useful for them. I hope there is an online company which is providing a job vacancy for job like these, because I really want to apply. But most of them need educational qualification which I don't have. I have a degree but in a different field and has no connection with counseling or motivation. If there is a real online company which is offering a job and really paying, I would like to apply.

Indeed Tushavi, it will depend on the situation especially if you are a shy person. However, it should not be a hindrance especially of you really need money.. =) But I can understand your point.. Have a nice day too...

Hi there. Well, while online teaching is convenient and allows learning from remote locations, I believe that it should not, in anyway, completely take the place of learning from conventional school classrooms. After all, it's not only subjects that children learn in school; what's more important is that they learn how to make friends and interact well with other people and how to deal with real-life scenarios - things that could not exactly be taught through online teaching. Online teaching is good for stuff like learning a new language and all but I believe that it should not become a substitute for sending children to school.

I also agree with you nekonyata. I understand your point and I like what you said that "it should not become a substitute for sending children to school". However, some people would really prefer to study online especially if they have other things to do.... I remember what my teacher said to me before that learning is not only found inside the four walls of the classroom.. =)

I am truly in favour of online teaching. You can learn in the comfort of your home.

I agree with you manjulak. You can actually earn money while you are at home doing online teaching and you don't need to dress up since you are at home! =)

yes, i am in favor of online teaching... online teaching can help those students who lives away from the city, and those living in remote places, who are often home schooled. online learning is also nice, since the student can learn the lessons well, while saving time, and he also can have fun while studying. online studying could also help other students get extra credits, while they are studying in the university. it also helps those who want to study more subjects even if they graduated already, so that they can get the jobs that they like.

It is the 21st centure lets embrace the technology thats here now, being taught from home is a great way to learn aslong as you still have the back up of a tutor to call upon should you need it. I also think any home based learning should have classroom based hands on aswell as you need both to be able to be confident about what you learn.

I am not in favor of online teaching. I am living in India, at here Internet is costly for us so online study will be costlier 4 us and another problem is if not money then speed. If you ignore money & speed, still I am not agree with online teaching. Whatever you can enjoy in practical in your classroom lab or you share in your classroom with clssmates, it is not possible in online. There are another benefit of online teaching like no travelling, save money, live secure in home.
