Saturday lights will go out in 84 countries for Earth Hour 2009!! That's 2,800 municipalities! Seven times more municipalities have signed on since last year's Earth Hour which drew participation from 400 cities after Sydney, Australia held a solo event in 2007. Earth Hour is a way for citizens to send a clear mewsage, They want action on climate change." Of course not everyone agrees and at least one counter protest is planned for Saturday:-( Edison Utility said electricity demand fell by 5 percent in Chicago and northern Illinois during last year's Earth Hour, reducing about 840,000 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions! The message here is: "we want people to know that IT IS within our power to solve this problem...people can take positive constructive actions" See for yourself at: http://www.earthhour.org/ Very interesting, what do myLotters say? ~G~

840,000 pounds of carbon dioxide!! Wow! Thats alot why cant we have this done once a month it would go a long way and would also show we are ready to fight climate change.

I think this is really great so many people should do it, we need to make changes to our world before our world changes us.
