Have you gotten something lately that you got for an even better deal because of the economy?? It could be anything from a house, a car.... clothing, perhaps your local grocery store is discounting groceries or something...
I ask because on the news last night here in Michigan...due to the economy and the fact that our unemployment hit 12% a few of the local small restaurants are trying to help families and have a "name your price" deal....you order the food and pay what you want... it wont stay that way but it is keeping his business going even though he will be losing ....but other restaurants are going to do the same thing.. just to help out in our economy ...just for a little while...
so have you gotten a good deal lately?

I heard about that name your price meal. Good deal! I wish I was in the position to take advantage of the deals that are out there. I really need a car but without a job I can only get what I can pay for outright. Even with the dealers being desperate it is still more than I have. In NJ I haven't noticed groceries being a good deal at all, if anything they have gone up!

oh I dont think that is right, I know with inflation and they raise prices on things but I have been trying to find things to save money and found that some grocery stores here have a "day old" section and you get things for half price..
seriously a baked loaf of bread was 1.50 and they had the exact same kind on the "day old" section and it was .90ยข...that was so great... it cost me less and I got home and cut it up and served it at dinner time.. it was very good...LOL
thanks for the response.

Lately, in my state (Ohio), alot of plants and seeds, and general growing supplies have been put up at marked down prices or for, quite literally, free. It's been awesome, 'cause alot of us out here in rural Ohio have taken up farming or victory gardening.
The food prices in the grocery stores are still in a state of constant flux, though.
