Several years ago we rented a house. The house was literally infested with fleas. The landlord, who was a friend, suggested spraying vinegar on the carpets...supposedly to "suffocate" the fleas...it didn't work. Then she suggested the salt method...we dumped cans and cans of salt on the carpets...it didn't work. By this time I was fed up. I went to Walmart, bought about 12 flea and tick bombs and set them off in the house...2 to a room. The next day there wasn't a flea to be found. We lived there for over a year with 2 small dogs, over a dozen guinea pigs and a lizard but no fleas. It's the only thing I ever found that worked and worked well.
