How do you still enjoy life despite the hard financial times?

Lots of people are cutting back these days... I have taken to going to a discount movie theater where the movies are $1.75 whenever they change their movies... The movies have been out in the theaters for about a month but the fact that they are out that long does not really matter and it is nice to eat the popcorn and drink the Cherry Coke while watching a movie on the big screen with someone I love. It is one way that I enjoy life. Of course just breathing, just stretching, just standing and walking and talking and singing are wonderful too... It is good to be alive in this day and to spend a little time on mylot with you all... How do you still enjoy life despite the hard financial times?

I have started trying to grow my own food to save a bit of money, not done loads of it yet, but will need to see how it goes :) I've been avoiding going to the cinema and eating out so much because the prices have actually gone up here since the crisis. Instead I've fallen back on my more creative habbits such as writing and drawing. They help me to relax and they are great fun to do :)

as other said, i have to stick to the idea that family (my wife and kid) is the best thing to comfort you when you are down...and I think everyone should have done that, and it would not be so much trouble in the whole world.

Thanks for sharing about your family being the best thing to comfort you... I think that you are right... People were indeed trying to fill their emotional needs with things and this was problematic. Now, perhaps our priorities are more in order in the world.

In every crisis situation, there is always some or other opportunity that knocks one' door. We need to change our approach, attitude and outlook in recognizing the hidden opportunity and become innovative in tackling such situations. One needs to correctly know one's strengths and weaknesses and improve one's skill in taking up new challenges and situations, with positive outlook. Just as there are many areas where one can control cost, there are also several ways for exploring and exploiting new opportunities. Thanks.

I think you can do better than live in continous leisure. The bail out is slowly getting to people from governments. Use the money to make more more my friend. Join GNLD-go to a distributor point, get a form, fill the details, add this ID 40/4032901 as your sponsors. Choose home care products, sell them at a profit, build a network, you will grow through the ranks to the President's team and you will be surpised by the bonuses and free trips for conferences. For more infor, give me a PM. With GNLD You will beat the economic down turn.

Not quite sure that this is the best place to share your information about a business opportunity here... Doesn't quite go with the theme of the sharing... Thanks anyway.

I am really lucky to have a family that supports me all the time. I am into my final year of engineering and would start earning from September. I am not earning yet and am dependent on my family. I wish to help them out in whichever little way I can and that is the reason I have started working on the net. I am happy to get whatever little money I get from here.

I live close to a big tourist area and as we are feeling the money crunch they are too, so to get people to still visit the attractions they are giving out huge local discounts as well as just free admissions. So when we have a free weekend, we just go out for a drive to go do some of the things we havent done yet in the area that are offering good discounts. We check out everything online and our Friday paper because that's there we find out deals on doing stuff. Our childrens musuems also have free admissions, so it's well worth going to those as well. If we aren't out doing that, then we are just spending quality time together playing games, and such.

It is great that so many companies which were over pricing attractions and products anyway are lowering their prices so that the locals can actually experience them. I am glad this is happening in your case. It is good that your family enjoys doing things together at home or elsewhere. Togetherness is a wonderful thing. Thanks for sharing.

The financial times is really hard for most of us. I am currently still in hard work. I will hang out with my friends when I get time. Since it is spring, we can go to the park. We can play volleyballs. Although curretly it is hard for us to live in a decent way, we still can find ways to enjoy ourselves. Life is always colorful if you think in this way.

I write and write and write to express what I feel and of course visiting my lot everyday is a very good therapy. I gain friends from here. So, this is a very good way to spend and enjoy your time because you are earning at the same time. In fact, if you come to think about it, it's not the earning that matters anymore. It is the experience that makes it fulfilling.

Yes, I certainly still enjoy life. I take my children to the park, I enjoy the nice weather, play ball and catch with my kids and take my family to the movies and out to eat. The hard financial times will not take away my life and are evanescent and fleeting and I know that they will pass with time. It is essential that you enjoy your life and make sure you live everyday like it is your last. Good Luck and happy mylotting.

Going to the park with the kids is a great thing... Going to the movies and out to eat helps the theatres and the restaurants and their employees stay alive. Your dedication to enjoying life and living every day as if it is your last is a good thing. Thanks for sharing.

good joke... I would hope that people will refrain from doing that unless they have enough income to pay off the loans and the credit cards.

Yes, the circumstances are not good...I personally felt problem because of this hardship...but at the end of the day I think, I have nothing to do with all this...If I am not responsible for this mess then why I should worry about that....the time will again change like the rule of the nature and again there will be a new day for me and all other professionals who are feeling the heat...thinking it allow me to forget the recession and its effects and I found myself.............

It sounds like you have a good attitude... You know things will get better and also know that you can only deal with what is yours to deal with... Both are good shares here. Thanks.
