Are you happy with the way your kids are taught in the school?

We want our kids to be the toppers in their respective classes. It all depends on how teachers & parents help in their studies. Most parents keep a tab on their kids with their studies , but what about the teacher who teaches your kids? Is she good enough ?

As i am also still in school, i dont think it is challenging enough. Elementary school (i foudn out) was plain garbage. Then the first year of high school was also garbage. They just baby sit you and treat you like a child, nothing like how the real world is (mind you i live in Canada Ontario (curriculum differs from province to province) Cause from the exp. i've gained from working a job (not just a summer one) its damn hard. Also compared to other countries' curriculum, Canada is reallly slowwww

For my son, this year I am very unhappy with how he's being taught. I have been to his class many times to discuss this with his teacher but she doesn't see it fit to change things around, and even though the other parents agree with me on this subject they are all to scared to tell the teacher how they feel about it. The last two years he's had wonderful teachers who cared for their jobs and wasn't just there for the job as I am finding that his teacher this year is. The teacher he has this year is just a crock of crap, her teaching ethics are way off the rocker, and she just isn't made to me a teacher. I've only got 2 and half months left of dealing with her, and then I can only hope he gets someone next year that is more willing to be a teacher than what he's got this year.

In my opinion and experiences, it really depends on the size of the class. IF the teacher has 30 children to look over, it hard for them to help and see certain students having problems, and pass that knowledge onto the parents.
