CHILDHOOD...the most pleasent memories always.I remember, those days of my childhood when whole of family were use to sit togather in our small beautiful garden chatting, playing antakshari(a game of singing in group), eating snacks and enjoying feeling of togetherness. But now, all are grown up and busy in either a stupid or important work. No doubt working for 'bread and butter' is essencial thing but at the same time spending time with family not only gives joy but also strengthen us from inside... Afterall sharing positive or negative thoughts, small small talents and appreciations or rejections are parts of our personality development. Yes, you are also remembering something good abuot your chidhood, What's that beautiful memory?

My father passed away when I was 6 years old, the memory I have carried with me was with him walking in the woods. It was a beautiful day, blue sky, just the beginning of summer. The tree's were full of fresh leaves, the air smelled of wild flowers. We walked for several hours together. Where we lived at the time in Northern WI, we had several acres of land, some field, the rest was forest. I remember him sitting me down and talking with me in the middle of this walk. The next memory I have of him is that he passed. The beautiful thing of this memory is my brother and sisters and I would walk these woods almost everyday that we could, playing, singing, chasing, and just having fun with each other. It all combines to be an awesome memory. I love the outdoors that has never changed.

I believe that in all things there is a reason for all that happens to us. It wasn't easy still my mother remarried and had 5 more children, which made 10 in all. She just passed away this feb. I wasn't online much for over a month because I was there helping doing what I could to resolve anything we needed to get done. It isn't easy at any age, still a prayer helps when you least expect it to. Sometimes we don't see that until afterwards. Memories have been a big topic the last 5 weeks with all of us.. so I know memories are important in their own way. God Bless you one and all......

My favorite memories from my childhood was going fishing with my Father . Even when he went fishing with his buddies , he would still let me tag along. I still love fishing to this day , because of our times ,my Dad and I sitting at the lake together . Youreyes4today- You sound very mature and wise . Those special memories are something that he gave you, that noone can ever take from you , they are a special gift .

I agree. Childhood days are indeed beautiful. I remember being around my paternal family and just playing around with my cousins. Then our grandmother would bake us cookies and we would all finish them in less than five minutes. Those were the days.

Childhood itself is one long and beautiful period filled with many unforgettable memories. However some really stand out. My school summer vacation trips to my uncles house in Madras(Chennai) and the fun i had with my cousins there were one great memory. then the cowboy-indian games and Robinhood games at my friends bungalow garden just behind my house were another great memory. The long walks i had with my friend to the beach, eating paani puri and bhel are another memory. Yes childhood was full of innocence and fum. there was no tv, computers or parties. We had only the old big valve radios to listen to Binaca geet mala and Binaca hit parade and Saturday date but still it was wonderful. Yes i enjoyed my childhood very much which was a totally uncomplicated way of life.

Childhood is the part of my life i like to cherish and to go back if possible. Having no problems & enjoying every single moment with the whole family. Going out during payday of my parents. Shopping and buying many things. But the most i couldnt forget was to have a celebration during natal day. Since were only two in the family, my parents would love to celebrate it with lots of friends & relatives with matching foods children would like to eat. These was the scenario ive grown up. Until gone to grade school, and a part of secondary when my father bid goodbye and had his final rest. These the thing i miss about during birthday celebration. But even though his not with us, we try to be as happy as when he was still with us...
