Its the biggest question in the mind of every Indian these days that who is going to be the next one for the top post, with none of the candidates having the power to get the clear majority. N.D.A on its own can get maximum of 200 seats, ya thats maximum i am talking about, they are going to get less than that in real. On the other hand U.P.A will also not be manage a clear majority until it has support from left, which is looking like near to impossible. keeping in mind all this the stable govt. seems unlikely.

I would go for UPA. I do so cos it is secular, following the tradition on which Indian Union was established. BJP is anti-secular, and it will destroy the social fabric of the Union. How can a Union built on the principle of respect for all religions survive when one political party tries to tear down the very principle on which the nation was established? I don't think BJP is good for the nation as a whole.

I agree with you friend. We should with all efforts defeat NDA who don't have moral sense of how to behave with women. And who don't care for the unity of this nation.

There is no harm in going for UPA go for it.... You will do so because it is secular....may I ask you define secularism...I know you don't know what is secularism, you are on the net and check it somewhere and try to understand it....I hope your misunderstanding will be subsided... BJP is anti secular...thanks for not saying it communal...I am not hurt.... What is the social fabric of the nation....I know again you can not define what is social fabric....you are using the term union here...When people from Bangladesh come in your nation sorry Union then this fabric is not destroyed...when different rules are applied for same citizenship then this fabric is not destryed..When large no. of population live in your country in the name of refugee then this fabric is not destryoed as happening with Kashmir Pandit....When you say directly to the Supreme court that Ram never existed then this fabric not destroyed...When you are supporting people who are involved in killing innocents people in Bihar in the name of Caste then this is not destroyed...I have to appreciate your understanding.... Do you know the principle on which this nation was built...and you must mention the principle...if it is the secularism then again go to my first response...if it is pluralism then BJP is more pluralistic party in this contemporary time.... And at last, you don't think BJP is good for nation as a whole....WOW...I don't think that this is worthy of response......

People won't elect a religious rabid as the PM and people will reject those Sena's who abused women in Mangalore and other places. So ultimately its the UPA who are better placed than the NDA or the third front.

May be he will not make for the P.M this time around, but for sure he's the best deserved man for that post, and far better than the weakest P.M we ever had. And N.D.A collectively also is a far more credible alliance than U.P.A, which is full of corrupt leaders like lalu and all.

Well there are many candidates in a fray, I feel it would be again Manmohan singh at the centre as there is no unity in rival parties who are joining each other for election alliance.

And you think that there is unity in this UPA......I don't see any sign of unity among this opportunistic alliance....the Dalaal Amar Singh is no longer with them then Lalu and Paswan are already gone against them and now the PMK for whom the UPA got a direct slap from the Court becuase of immoral handling of Venugopal case has left them.....I don't see anything that can be said a uniting force within UPA....

In my opinion we are going to face a parliament of money and power trading. The Mps of small regional parties will demand a lot (unethical demand), the leftists will play a dirty role (as per their practice) and our INDIA will suffer a lot. Manmohuu Singh was weak, but I think he was weak for the Left patry. He could not work with freedom. And for caste politics I want to blame Late Biswanath Pratap Sing, the father of Mandal theory.

How can you say that NDA will get maximum of 200 seats...are you sharing the opinion of some biased survey done by Nelson...Any way, I think, NDA has the biggest chances and it should allowed to serve the country...we have seen the Rule ( not service ) of this UPA....we have got the weakest PM....this economic mess....appeasing Muslims....no security to the citizen.....Vote bank policy by providing reservation in Colleges....and countless stuffs....the third front is leaded by Communists...they don't love India but love China and their ideologies.....Any way mark my words you are Wrong and I am a better psephologist than you....he he he//

As I told earlier you people want to have some religious freak at the centre.During the last five years Millions of jobs were generated in the IT/ITES sector,Manufacturing,Banking & finance and Agriculture targets were worked out carefully. With these job creations millions of family are getting benefited. You people are only worried about electing some guy who is religiously poised and have nothing to do with the development of our country.

No matter you are better psephologist or the best in the world.. those 200 seats also i said are maximum, they are not going to get more than 180, i too want N.D.A to win, but ground reality is bit different, and its not from any biased survey or.. i don't trust surveys and all..lol

Hi....you need to keep your facts right...I suggest you to go the epw research page and ascertain how many jobs were created in the last five years....huh....and do you think that NDA stand only for religion...you need to check the work done by this governmemt....This government has nothing to show other than NREGS and RTI...NREGS is for me draining money to get people vote for you or to fulfill the illogical demands of those traitors better known as Communists....and RTI was nothing more than an extension of the Information Act of Vajapayee govt. So what was done by this inefficient govt....they simply chose to ignore the work started by NDA like massive road construction...this would create more jobs and at least will be constructive not digging a pond and then again filling it that is what happening with NREGA.... Then you are saying about religions...is there anything wrong in proclaiming one's religion....You spend more than four hundred crores of rupees on HAZ and when we demand a small piece of land for Amarnath pilgrimage and that too for two months in a year you will say it communal.....You will not allow a Danish PM to enter India because in their country a cartoonist had hurted the religious sentiment..but If we say that M F Hussain is also a rogue you will call me communal......And there are numerous examples to show how pseudo secularists are these people are...... Any way friends...I know you people has to show that you read English newspaper and a bit smart but that is what letting our country down....and at last remember in the last election Ramvilas 'Pendulum' Paswan was taking a look a like of Osama with him in his election rally what he wanted to show...you know it better...but the same thing, I admit among others improper statements, has been said by Varun Gandhi then you are saying us communal..... India needs youth who can think logically....and I hope you........There is nothing personal...if it hurts you then sorry....but it has to be said....Thanks...

I was thinking of responding to this question with my views, however I see that this has already a become heated argument. So I will keep away from it. To all you guys. Chill people. You all cast your own votes keeping India's future in mind. For some of you Culture keeps an importance for some of you power and some of you Independence of thought. So go ahead follow your way of life don't try to force others into your way of life.

this election will not be that easy for any party to get majority. But remember Indians have a tendency- they always vote against the ruling party....lol so you know who will win and who is the next PM

What do you mean by that always. We all know how long Congress has governed this country. There is no such tendency. Anti incumbancy is not a rule here in India with a possible exception of Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala and Haryan. NDA lost last election because of the voting tends to go according to the line regional sentiments. For example see the states result..as Andhra, WestBengal and Haryan.....

This is a very controversial topic and I do not think it is appropriate to discuss in this forum. I think election is going on and it is too early to speak about the formation of govt. In the present political scenario no single party will be able to form the govt on its own. Multiple party will form the govt. In my opinion the present govt can give a strong govt under UPA. Prediction is that UPA will form stable govt.

POTA or any similar legislation is the need of hour. POTA people is not a bad tag at all, atlest for me. And its hard to get what congress want when they talk about strict anti-terror laws but no POTA. It should be seen as a great deterrent force that can prevent the growth of terrorist activities and there outfits too. It seems unfair only to those harbouring the terrorists.

By POTA people he means the government that passed the POTA in the parliament...he forgets that TADA was also as tough as POTA and that was passed by Congress government...he forgets that in the constitution, it has been mentioned that fundamental rights can be curtailed if there is any case of Preventive detention...He forgets that first of preventive detention law was passed by Jawahar Lal Nehru....He forgets that MISA was more stringent than POTA or for that matter TADA....he forgets that because of the tough law there has not been any terrorist incident in the USA..........let him forget...and let him support whom he wants to support....he will not going to change his stance because he forgets a lot.........

People accuse BJP/NDA of playing the hindutva card and not being secular. Is congress secular? If BJP plays hindutva card. The congress plays the Muslim Vote bank politics. Muslims are a minority yes. So are sikhs and christians and buddhists. Why special privilages for muslims and not for other religions? The biggest irony is this party calls itself secular and the greatest IRONY is INDIA IS A SECULAR COUNTRY for Godsake. Where do muslims, hindu, christians etc come in this picture? We are divided on the lines of caste creed color and religion and these were the reasons which led to british enslaving us for a good 200+ years. Now who do we wanna serve as slaves. Its high time people realize that people are being ripped off immaterial of whether we are Hindu or muslim or whoever. The bottomline The netas who play these stuff are happy with loads of money and the people like us who fall for these speeches are made a bunch of jokers - An ignorant bunch of jokers. No one deserves to be the next PM. These people are not goin to change anything. The great Indian Democracy is in the hands of goons, criminals, foreigners , rapists, dacoits and what not. GOD SAVE THE COUNTRY! JAI HIND
