The best "movie twist" EVER.

I like the twist in the film called "The Others". It starred Nicole Kidman and it's about a family who sees ghosts in their house. I like the ending so much because I didn't expect it to end in that "twisted" way. You just have to find out why because I don't want to spoil the ending. Another twist I love is that in "The Usual Suspects", who knew that it will end that way? "Arlington Road" also ended in a nice and satisfying twist... although I really didn't expect it because I thought it was so obvious. So, what movies have the best endings? Can you suggest more, I would love to hear from the movie lovers of myLot.

The Skeleton Key definately had a twist, but it actually made me hate the movie. I don't like bad endings. I was sad.

I hate it when the movie ends up in the losing end for the lead character.

Hey inkuyboz! Well, thank you very much for giving me three movies to give my stupid boyfriend to get next week! He keeps bringing home these stupid scary dumb azz movies that are so disgusting and gory that make absolutely no sense and have no real plot! They are just about people getting murdered and losing body parts which are is not my kind of entertainment! So now I am giving him these three movies and telling him that they were recommended so that maybe he will get the idea of what a real movie is! So again, thank you for saving me from watching anymore gory stupid movies!

I bet your boyfriend would love "The Usual Suspects". It's one of the best non-chick flicks ever, and yet couples can enjoy watching them. :)

I also like "The Others". Well written. Who would have thought that it would have that ending?! Lol! It's hard to elaborate how much I like the ending because I've noticed other people who commented have not seen the movie yet. I also like the "Sixth Sense" although it was not as marvelous as "The Others" because with the "Sixth Sense" you could almost "sense" somewhere along the way about Bruce Willis character and the kid.

the sixth sense twist is the one for me....It took me a couple of seconds to relise what was happening.....the kid was so cool...he knew everything and took it so coolly....after the twist i re-watched the movie to look for point where you could have guessed that bruce willis is the ghost...but we never saw it that way...did we...looked pretty even if bruce willis wounldn't have been the ghost....

I remember crying for Bruce Willis in that film. When he went to his wife and saw her watching the wedding videos. And the ring falling from her hands.

The Others did have a great twist. Like the above poster said the Sixth Sense was unexpected for most people, as was The Village. I may be stupid on this one but I did not know Fight Club was going to have that twist, I suspected it a little but was still surprised. One movie that I thought was going to be so hard to figure out and have a twist was Seven Pounds...yeah right I figured it out in the first 10 minutes.

Yeah, I agree with both Sixth Sense and The Village. I loved Haley Joel Osment after that film.

The Village had an excellent twist. I definately was not expecting it. I had to watch the movie all over again. I then watched one more time with my sister and was looking for her reaction during the twist. There was no reaction from her. Turns out she didn't understand what just happened because the twist was that fantastic.

Any good movies I have watched with a good twist in the end evades me right now. I did see the movie "The Village" and "The Others". I hate the "Skeleton Key" cause Kate Hudson was in the losing end in that film.

I agree with you. "The Others" has got one of the best twist in movies. It's creepy as hell and the images of people posing with eyes closed freaks me out until today. Here are some films i would recommend you to watch but i'm not sure if it will be on your top list. I recommend you to watch "Deception" with Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor. It's pretty twisted fron beginning to end though not in a creepy way. I would also recommend you to watch "Dark Harbor" which stars the guy from Harry Potter the, instructor with long hair. I don't know the name. It's a pretty old film, late 90s or early 2k.

I like movie with a twist! The Others had a great one. I think you would probably like The Departed and Taken. 3:10 to Yuma had a good one too. Shutter is a great movie too and really creepy.

Those are all great twists. Another good one is 'Jacob's Ladder' with Tim Robbins. That is a movie I can watch time and again and still pick up a nuance or two.

Oh I love then end of the others. I think I have seen that movie over a dozen times. I kind of actually liked the ending to the skeleton key. It's not like one of those totally expected movies where the good guy always wins. I also liked the ending to the movie the curous case of benjamin button.

The movie I remember the most for having the best twist is the Crying Game (1992). It starred Forest Whitaker and Stephen Rea but the twist was unbelievable. If I remember rightly it even made the news it was such a shock. Trust me if you haven't seen it definitely rent a copy and be prepared to be very shocked.
