is watching television in the dark really bad for the eyes? is it an old wive's tale? i thought our eyes adjust to any lighting. however tv has unseen electromagnetic waves, right? and that isn't good.

actually, bright lights trigger my migraine so my computer screen is dimmed and the only time the lights are turned off with the television on is when we're about to go to sleep so i have actually no problem with tv in the dark :) happy mylotting!

Yes, i think so. Every time i watch television with the light off, my eyes feel pain and drop tears. Yes i agree with you, our eyes adjusting and reflexing any light, so if we in the dark area our eyes force to see anything without help of the light. So in the end dark area are bad for our eyes, except when we go to sleep.
