why does it pay more?

is it just me or is it a fact? i just noticed that the more a work is cerebral the more high paying it is. doctors, dentists, lawyers... are paid better than the plumbers, delivery people, salesclerks... why is this so? just because these people have more neurons mean they have to be paid more?

Well,I have already thought in this line and I too can't get a right conclusion.Is it because,doctors,lawyers,etc... have to spend much to get a degree,they are charging high?And their qualification is the thing that is claimed for?But without the street workers,drainage cleaners,barbers,labour workers,etc...we will end up with an unclean environment.It should be really thought upon,why we should pay showing partiality?Let this discussion continue well bringing out an awareness!
