Do you feel comfortable to work beside your supervisor?

just like you, i'd rather work alone than having my supervisor beside me. its so awkward when you know that someone beside you is watching your every move, you just can't seem to concentrate and as a result, you'll get more mistakes.

Well, I can't really say anything about my supervisor as I am one, but I am very comfortable with my manager. We get along great and my fellow supervisors and I went to his wedding not too long ago. He's a great guy and he tries to make work fun for us. As for the crew - I try to make them comfortable with me. I actually consider some of them some of my closer friends. Its a bit of a challenge to get the relationship down - they have to work under me when clocked in but after work I have to make sure not to boss them around, lol. There are some that look at me with fear when they start out and get better and then there are some that just stutter, no matter how nice I am to them. I work at a water park over the summers and its really amazing at how much a title scares people. I am 3-5 years older than them and they look at me like I could ruin their lives. It takes them awhile to see that I would never do that, even if I were able to. We have a very relaxed department and we become a team most summers, but I think this last summer we were more like each other's second families as many of them had some home issues that we helped them with.

I have a few managers and I get along with all of them so we have fun working with each other. Rarely do they show that they are higher up on the work ladder than I am and we really do have a lot of fun.
