Yeah they are right. You can leave it at home. That is the safest way to avoid over using your credit card. But the best way is self control. You need to control yourself in using your card. You may do it by setting a limit with regards to your expenses or you could always keep in your mind the advantages of over using it.
I know you could do it... Goodluck. =)

You can either leave the card at home, cut it up or lock it up. You can also give it to a relative that you TRUST that will only let you use it only when it is an emergency I hope these choices helped you out. Trust me you don;t want to ruin you credit score my shopping all the time.

It is simple. First think of your credit card as a debit card that has an extra bonus like points, airmiles, cash back. Then see how much you have in your bank account that you allow for discretionary spending. Decide that that is the most you are going to spend on your card, that way you will not have a balance on your credit card statement. If that does not work, decide that for all items up to a certain amount you are going to pay cash. Look in your closet and decide that perhaps you do not need that new blouse, you can combine an older blouse with your skirt.
You can also decide that you will only use your credit card on certain items. You can also leave your credit card but that will only work if you are the type of person who can keep a bunch of the money in their purse or a checkbook and not use it.
If you cannot, it is not the credit card's fault, it is that you are an impulse shopper.

that's simple.
leave the card at home. when you do, you can't use it even if you have the urge to do a purchase.

Leave the card at home. It's just that simple. Credit is the device of convenience that will keep you in debt for the rest of your life. Unless you are one of those people who can go home and right a check for the purchse they have just made you shouldn't shop with a credit card.
