What on earth is "Shopuworld"?

Have you heard of this before? I recently had someone here on myLot add me as a friend, so I accepted, only to find my inbox flooded with messages about why I should join this site called "Shopuworld" under his referral link, of course. Now, curiousity is getting the better of me. Have you ever heard of this before? If so, is it legit? And how do you earn?

i have not heard of "shopuworld".. i tried googling it, but none came up... did you try the link?

LOL I actually meant "ShopWurld". How funny. My mistake. I tried Googling it just now, and it seemed to actually come up with a couple of sites. I'm just concerned, like anyone else, that this is a scam and isn't worth my time. Heard anything about it?
