i really like tycoon games where you have to run a business. i find them rather relaxing when i need a break from action games. i have played quite a lot of them and my favourites out of all are as follows and i definitely recommend you to play these games if you have interest in the genre: 1) Tropico it is quite a simple game with not much micro management where you are the head of an island and you have to provide the infrastructure and resources for the locals so they can live happily and then you can go on to establish your island as a farming, industrial or tourist center etc. 2) Roller Coaster Tycoon series this sim involves building up a theme park and maintaining it in order to keep the crowd satisfied (and in turn bring in the bling). the first two games in the series of RTC had such simple and cute graphics and if i remember correctly, the size of the both the games was within 200 to 300 Mb. the game involves setting up a park with so many different types of ride and shops and with time you get to research and come up with new ones as well. there is a bit of micro management involved in this game but that something that makes the game challenging and fun. the third game is also similar to the first two but has new 3-d graphics and even more colorful look and the gameplay is equally good compared to the first two. 3) Monopoly Tycoon this was a surprisingly good game because i didn't really expect it to be any good. it has nothing much to do with the monopoly board game but you can purchase lots but your main task is to build different types of businesses in different lots and compete with your rivals. the game has different challenges to offer where different goals are set to achieve victory. the later levels get a bit challenging. this game has a little steep learning curve. other than these 3 games mentioned above, i have played simcity 3000 and simcity 4 but found that there was too much detail in the game and you had to look after too many things. i have played my heart out of the above games, and i am looking forward to play something new. do you have any recommendations? which game should i buy next?

There are some funny ones you might want to try. Jail tycoon School tycoon Restaurant tycoon Zoo tycoon (Higher tech) Just to name a few. If you are interested in higher tech and more control you can always hit up Sims 2/3. I am partial to the Sims. But I really enjoy playing Zoo tycoon. I think it would be seriously funny to play Jail tycoon. XD Hope this helped!

Oh! Something you might be interested in is Age of Empires, and the rest of the Age series. My brother really enjoys them. I haven't played them as much but they are fun. Not as hands on as the Tycoons. But they do have they interesting aspect of forging wars. XD

The only tycoon games I've really played are the Roller Coaster Tycoon games. I play the first one all the time. I bought Monopoly Tycoon for my cell phone, but I don't think it was as good as the full version of the game. Tycoon games are totally addictive. There is a tycoon website that has trial versions available for download and if you like them, they can be purchased pretty cheap. They have all kinds. Restaurants tycoon games look really fun.

If you want to move into a more general sim, simcity is the staple of simulation games. They've set the standard, and they set it high. The games are fantastic and completely addictive, and let's face it, if sim games don't addict you, they aren't working. I'd recommend SimCity Societies Best of luck, -Fox

i have played the simcity 3000 and simcity 4 but they had too many aspects to handle. but i found their overall presentation very neat. haven't played the ximcity societies but i know it's easier than the previous simcity games plus it says that the expansion makes the game even better. i ll surely try it out when possible. thanks!!
