Why belly piercing so popular among teen girls nowadays?

So, here is my question for the girls. What really attracts you to have your belly pierced? What make you think that is sexy, or even hot? You did it because peer influence playing the major part of it? Or is that our new fashion?

It is popular because it is new fashion and also it is very different from existing fashion which are quiet traditional. Young one always want to change there style with new fashion

I really don't know why so many girls have this done. My daughter had hers done for her 18th birthday as she thinks that it looks cool! I think it is gross and I would never have had mine done if it had been popular when I was a kid. However, I can be thankful that she never came home with green hair. I feel that peer pressure has a lot to do with many of the decisions that kids make these days and I think that some are doing things to irritate their parents.

I have to disagree. I think they get it done because they think it looks nice, I happen to think so anyway, on the right body of course. Piercings are so popular nowadays that its hard to even consider whether your parents would approve or whether your being rebelious. I used to have mine done, being rebelious never crossed my mind, I just happened to like the way it looked. However, that piercing came out real fast when I found out I was pregnant :)
