Where I am from we say yuns, pop, yall, and just overall have our own little lingo. It is easy for people to pick out that I am from the north just by the way that I talk. It is weird how we all have different acsents, and lingo just state to state.
Does your area have a specific lingo? Is it recognizable by others when you go out of state?

our common lingo that often differentiate us from other states in the country is 'bah'. At end of every conversation this word comes up. It also means 'yes' in our dialect.

Hey tlb! That's kind of funny because we really don't live
that far away compared to some of the people here who live
on different continents and really live in different states
really far away! I live in NYS and we still speak differently
then you do! We don't say pop we say soda, and we say alot
of other things differently to! But, I'm sure if you and I
were to visit each others states we would be able to figure
out the lingo alot easier then people that live way across
the map from us!

Here in Canada our lingo always includes an "Eh". Only in Canada Eh?
It is funny how we can most often distinguish where someone is from by the way they speak. Accents are a sure give away also.

My family is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, which the born and bred call "Balmer". They also have the tendency of calling folks, hon.
Down here in south Florida, where I live now, I first heard the word "fixin"...as in I'm fixin to go to the store. Iced tea is "sweet tea" and, along with y'all, there's "all y'all", meaning everyone.
