Do you sometimes find it hard to think of a title of a chapter or novel?

I sometimes find myself writing fanfics, poems, and others. But sometimes, I can't seem to have a good title for the unfinished masterpiece. It is weird that sometimes you havew written a lot but, you don't even have a single title in mind. What about you? Are you having a hard time thinking of a title for your poems, novels, fanfics and all?

Well, I am not a writer but I can share my experience with you about reading. When I read novels or stories, I don't read their title and when people ask me if I read that book or story, I would no, I haven't. Later on if they would start telling me the story, I get to know that I read that paricular book or story but I don't want me to become a fool in front of them, so, I keep quite!

There is a reason behind it. When i was a child, my father had a magazine shop. There I used to read all the magazines which used to sell. Imagine, reading 50 stories every month and that too in a matter of one week. Seven stories in a day, so, I used to be in a hurry alwasy. So, never had time to read the title! LOL

Right now I have such a big writer's block that I can think of a title for a chapter or novel but am not able to write or form the starting line. And so I am stuck. That is because I havent really written for a long time. Writing comments on such sites doesnt really keep you in the habit of writing. I am seriouly considering starting a blog and writing regularly. Blogs seem to be the in-thing!

I found myself looking for the contents of the poem or novel. If its about the poem i like to use the lines that i love and that readers can see it while reading the poem. About the novel i use title where its based on how story goes, like friendship and undying love.I find a hard time writing novel and poems now though because i am so busy with work and mylot hehehehe. Just go on and compose poems and novels if that is your talent, go and make your dreams come true. happy mylotting and smile always.

It's really hard to find a title sometimes..... usually I will find the most interesting part of my creation to be the title, and narrow the topics that could become the title. It is useful to find out if there is a message you want to deliver in your creation and that helps in getting a title. I seldom create a very attractive title.

Yes i have sometimes have same problem. We often hesitate to set up a title option writing. I am sure all ever feel like that. Title is very important like gate of a house.

For books, not usually, but chapters yes. This is mostly a recent development, as I didn't have a habit of titling chapters for most of my works...but lately it's something I've picked up, along with book page layout experimenting. It's fun, but sometimes, for the life of me, I can't think up a name for a chapter. Usually I have to stop writing for awhile and come back to it a few days later and try again.

Yes I have run into the same. As long as the story keeps coming along I kep typing/writing. The title will eventually come to you as the story comes together. For me, the title first can cause me early writers block.

True. But I have another question. Do you believe that what title you have thought someone has already wrote it or something?
