Do you have the habit of taking a nap at noon?

I had a nap just now. I feel quitely refreshed ,more energetic and can focus more attention on my work. Nap is definitely beneficial to our health. Do you have the habit of taking a map at noon?

Definitely a nap during afternoon hours helps body to get refreshed! But beware not to have nap one hour after or one hour before your lunch. It affects your digestion power! Bile juices are generated during one hour before lunch and they start assimilating and digesting the food taken for one more hour after food. If you sleep, your body may not generate enough bile juices which may not digest the food properly, thereby increasing the fat content of the body or even indigestion. Taking a NAP is good, even people feel sleepy eyes just after food intake. But please try to avoid sleeping right after food! Wait for one hour and then take a nap which really helps your body getting refreshment!

I am glad you asked that question. Yes I do. However,I found that imprinting has a lot to do with it,especially if you are super sensitive. Let me explain. When I was a toddler every afternoon my mother would insist I take a nap right around noon when Search For Tomorrow would air. The afternoon naps continued until I entered Kindergarten. And lo and behold,every day in the afternoon close to 12:00 pm or shortly after I become very sleepy. I always believed it was the lunch.

Sounds very interesting.Children usually take naps at noon.They need more rest than adults. Have a nice day!

Id absolutely love to take afternoon naps but I guess it is not an option if you are at work:). But I definitely agree with you that it energizes and refreshes you. maybe companies should have an option of a 20 minute nap in the afternoon times. Im sure there would be an increase in productivity...lol.

yes, and in fact after this post i am going to take a short nap. 1 or 2 hours will do good. it's already 2:30 pm here. i am a nocturnal person, and like most Filipinos who are asleep during the nights i on the other hand, am awake..

In recent years, I don't have the habit of taking a nap in the afternoon, as i so busy in my study at morning and part-time work till afternoon. I used to take a nap every afternoon when i was in high school. I miss that time.

i take a nap at noon every day even at weekends .lol if i dont take it ,i will feel spaced out ,and dont have energy to do anything .

No, I don't.. but i had a nap just now.. you know, i didn't sleep well last night.. maybe, my mind wass too preoccupied with so many things such as health concerns, money problems, etc.. i feel pretty refreshed and more lively and i can focus more concentration on my online work..

Yes, I would like to take a nap with my husband on weekends after a great meal. It is not possible on week days because I will be working. Yes, it is a good idea according to me. Happy mylottig.

yes, i do have the habit.but now ,i can't take a nap in every noon. about two years ago, i have a good sleeping both daytime and night.

When I went to work after graduation,I first took a nap at noon in almost everyday.After some time,I give it up.

Yeah, i do. It's a good habit. After finishing lunch, part of the blood in brain comes to ur stomach to help digesting, which may makes you sleepy. If you take a small nap then, energy will be saved to last the whole afternoon. Only 10 to 15 minutes is enoungh, or it may get the opposite effect and influence ur sleep at night.

My favourite hobby is taking naps.but it is also beneficial to you.if you take a nap in the afternoon...after the nap you will be fresh and focussed.So go and take a nap quickly!!!
