I even think my officemates have superpowers.
I think long hours of mylotting gave me this power along with the cool air that breezed right out of the aircon.
After grilling myself infront of the PC for practically the entire day, whenever I touch someone, an officemate, something electrical suddenly zaps between us.
Definitely I can't be in love with a fellow girl. I am straight! It happens too when I touched doorknobs, or cassette players. It does hurt.
Have you encountered this?I touched my comb a while ago, and some static energy just possessed it and the paper that it came in contact with wouldn't budge! Wow! Super!

Wow, that would be indeed nice.. the only advantage that I could think of for that electrical powers of your would be to minimize your electric bill.. You can simply hold the outlet of any appliance that you need and you need not plug it into any socket in the house. Then again, you did say long hours in front of the computer so, I guess you would eventually recharge..
I spend long hours in front of a phone.. I wonder what powers can I come across...?

If it is not static electricity and which I think it is, then it is definitely a superpower. Try to check out if you can lighten a bulb with that. If so, then you will have to change your name to something powerful... "ELECTRAIZA" would be my suggestion. Hahahaha, best to you and no offense.

Lol, most of the times me and my officemates encounter same experiences. The feeling is so surreal that an electric current transmit from one to another. We dont really know why there is kind of mystery happening to us but we dont really care much to search why.. We just call each other Volta ( superhero with electric power ) and we end up laughing with each other.
Now, i know why. Thanks for the information above. :)

I know Volta. Whenever my "zaps" happen, I always remember her. KUYA kim atienza also explained this very well in Matanglawin.
It's got something to do static electricity really. :-)

Its not superpower but its called static electricity as we have learned about this in our science class since grade school.
Static electricity refers to the buildup of electric charge on the surface of objects. The static charges remain on an object until they either bleed off to ground or are quickly neutralized by a discharge. Although charge exchange can happen whenever any two surfaces come into contact and separate, a static charge will only remain when at least one of the surfaces has a high resistance to electrical flow (an electrical insulator). The effects of static electricity are familiar to most people because we can see, feel and even hear the spark as the excess charge is neutralized when brought close to a large electrical conductor (for example a path to ground), or a region with an excess charge of the opposite polarity (positive or negative). The familiar phenomenon of a static 'shock' is caused by the neutralization of charge.

Dear Sophie, thanks for the info. I guess I should stop with my illusions now that I'd be flying anytime soon after discovering my electrical powers.

In that case, we all have superpowers. It's just static electricity. I got it alot when I was younger. Haven't had that happen to me in awhile. you're right, it does hurt sometimes.

Wow, i didn't know that something i experienced a month ago is also happening there. Me and my male friend met last month to go on a malling. While walking our arms would bump into eachother creating a needlelike prck of electricity. It hurts but it seems like he couldn't feel a thing. It happened a lot in a single day. I'm not sure but it could be coming from the gadget he is using at the moment. I didn't bother to experiment by touching our arms because that would be gay. No offense to gays!

wow that's great.but can you figure it out what it exactly doing to you. i meant can you smell something or tell something that's going to happen?or are you only getting these shocking experiences only...

Hi sunil, it's pretty scientific. There's nothing magical, mystical or superstitious about it. It's mind boggling at first but after learning about the explanation about it, it became less bothersome and less exciting! hehe. But I do wish I can predict future with it but I can't so...well...too bad, isn't it? hehe

nice touch on the sound effects!
but i am very sorry this power is only for a good cause. If I should hand it down to anyone, that person should bring forth world peace, safety and security, and cheaper grocery prices.
You can only ZAP ZAP ZAP POG to protect yourself. Sigh, rules.

If you promise to zap just ONE person then I could probably swing an overnight rental deal with you.lol. Just remember that a fraction of a day is equivalent to 1 day.hehe

Ya i also experience the same supernatural power within me.Whenever i am wearing dresses with nylon fiber in it, it will be like electric current has just touched me.It does happen when i sit on my nylon chair, iron my synthetic clothes etc.
I think God is bestowing this super power to us so as to recoup of shortfall in electricity needs in the near future.

Haha, probably you are right. But I don't want to imagine myself being attached with wires connected to some kind of generators and delivering electricity over an entire city. That would be inhuman.

The environment around you probably doesn't allow such phenomenon. I learned that it is static electricity which usually occurs when the air is dry (like in an aircondiioned room), and after touching an electrical device such as computer or cellphone. If these conditions aren't present then it most likely won't occur.

Just make sure you wear your underwear in the INSIDE of your clothing, OK? Those other Superheroes really do look ridiculous with it on the outside.
There's a guy in the office that always zaps me and it's such a strong charge when it happens that I can even HEAR it!
What's weird is that the office has wooden floors, so I'm not even sure how the heck the static builds up in the first place??? Personally I think it's my super-charged charisma!

Oh,
but can I at least wear my bra on my head for added effects?
I guess you wore that Robocop costume that is why he kept zapping at you.

Its not super powers, it happens. Especially when you have vinyl floor and rubber shoes. Try rubbing your shoes in the floor and touch someone, the intensity of static is strong. it happened to me too and some of my officemates, some of them shocked, but yea, not superpowers .
Happy mylotting and smile always

Really nice. I have my own super power, but I am so afraid to use it. Because I afraid the scientist might put me into the circus. What do you think of that?

Oh, geee....what power could that be, clorissa? But don't you worry a thing, the only thing they send to the circus are those guinea pigs who can swing through the trapeze! hehehe
