Funny Cats Meow

I have had this cat for almost a year now. We got him when he was a couple of weeks old, someone had thrown him into the water. We found him floating and thought he was a goner. With lots of care he pulled through, now he is huge. But since we had him, when he meows he sounds like a bird. He does not meow alot, but when he does it is just so odd. I have had cats for 25 years and have never had one with such a funny meow. Have any of you had cats that talk a little different?

It is so wonderful to hear about people who have saved a little one! My one boy(there is 5 altogether) doesn't meow.He actually says "mom" and he states it at the top of his lungs when I am on my way out the door!If the weather is cold out it will carry quite a distance when he is inside!! LOL

It was a little unerving at first. I truly believed that my husband was playing a joke, until we both were going out the door one day and he was standing beside me and Scrapper let go with his "mom"!
Now if he is asleep or doesn't see me leaving it's weird not to hear it.

That is what we figured. His tail at the tip is bent, we figured a crab must have bit it. I am so glad that he did make it, we had our two boys in the boat and if Beaufort(that is his name, named after the river he was found in), did not make it, it would have broken their hearts.
