Ok... About a year ago, I had a change of position at my work & I needed a phone with internet access & e-mail access so I went out & bought a blackberry pearl 8120... It's really a good phone & served me a really good for past year... Now I'm getting a laptop & a digital camera from work with all the work related softwares built-in as well as wireless internet access... I don't mind carrying the laptop & the camera with me... Now, that puts me in a position where I really don't need blackberry I have anymore... I did go ahead & ordered Nokia 8890... It's a really old cell phone... It doesn't have camera & bluetooth but with new laptop with camera built in to it already, I think I can do with out it I've used it before & I really loved it... I still would have unlimited calling & sms messages but it would cut my bill down by $20/month... My dilema is I'm just debating if I should still keep using the blackberry & keep the nokia as a back up phone or should I just drop the blackberry phone & the plan so I can save $20/month... I can think of few small things I could do with $20/month, amazingly enough, & I hate to spend any money regardless of how much it is on something I really don't need... Also, I was just wondering about T-Mobile's 1900 mhz coverage area... I know they use 850 mhz along with 1900 mhz as their frequency here in U.S... I know when I had it with cingular, it was pretty good...

If it were me, I'd keep the BlackBerry. The computer is going to be a pain to carry around. I have a laptop that I keep in my car for work and I've also got a BlackBerry that is my personal phone and another phone for my work phone. I'd much rather carry the BB around than carry the laptop around. The laptop is so bulky and when I do have to bring it, I have to dig out the carrying case and use that. I'm usually carrying so much other stuff, that I have to put the laptop in the bag so I don't drop it. I'd much rather just use my Berry than have to lug around a computer everywhere. But I can't do some things on my Berry.
So if I were you, keep the Berry.

I know what you mean, though... But I did get the Nokia phone yesterday & I've been using it all day & I like it... As far as carrying my laptop goes, it's nothing new to me... Even with blackberry, I still had to carry my brief case... Only difference here is that the carrying case I have for my laptop has a lot of similiar options like my brief case did... It as all the slots in it for me to bring all the files I need with me, now that it has all the decent sized pockets on the outside as well as small compartments... What I have to carry with me doesn't really change based on which phone I have...

Hello sk66rc. I think that you may cancel the service of using the Internet on your blackberry pearl 8120, but remain the other services. Here in China, we choose to use the service we wish to have when it comes to our cell phones. This way, you will not have to spend an extra of 20 dollars a month. Enjoy yourself, friend.

Oh, it is so sad that the customers don't have that option. I think that they are supposed to give their customers more flexibilities.
