hi friends.u might have known i always hate T 20 matches because it does not always the right place if u got talent.its one of those places where legends fails to score and some dumb guy wins the match single handedly.from the way its played,i sometime get the doubt if this game is cricket or baseball because all u get to see most of the time is slog shots.this would be a nice thing to do.take our t 20 champions and make a match with the baseball team and see who wins.it will be our guys hands down.

I agree with you. If one is fond of watching cricket as a game of skills, then T20 is definitely not for him! Test cricket is real cricket. It shows the capability and cricketing skills of the players. T20 on the other hand is pure entertainment. We love seeing the ball going out of the fence, no matter how it goes there! T20 is a pure batsmen game, it has nothing except good beating for the ballers. Although not cricket at its best, but T20 is fun to watch (if you are a batting loving guy)!!

its not true at all. a lot of skills are required to win a t20 game. the fielding has to be brilliant and cannot make a mistake or that could cost you the game. there is skill everywhere to be seen in t20 be it the batting where the batsmen try innovative strokes and in the bowling where the bowlers are always trying to outsmart the batsmen. and in the england domestic season the t20 matches are not high scoring so its not completely in the favour of the batsmen

Yeah, you are very correct, but still, what I have observed is that true cricket has lost its value and has been replaced by mere entertainment..

When my friend in the country where I stay baseball is not a very popular game. On the contrary it is hardly played anywhere in India are so obviously for me my favourite game will be definitely cricket and IRS prefer it over any other game. It is always the popularity of the game which dictates the term and that is the only reason why cricket is such a huge prospect in our country although we have other sports being played in a country like football and hockey. In India cricket is given the prime preference and that is the reason why that is so famous in the whole country. You can say that almost every Indian is passionate about their cricket team and every now and then they will feel the pain when India loses a matching and is happy whenever India is winning a match. They will always turn to the sport's column and will try to read any bit of information about their favourite players and this is one reason why the game is so much famous in our country and I'm sure this is going to be the future also. This game gives a lot of money to and also it attracts a lot of stars and stardom. All in all it has all the qualities to get the popularity it has right now.

the way batsmen swing their bats in t20 it certainly looks like they are trying out baseball shots. but in the end we should realize that is sometimes the way to go as those baseball bat like swings get runs for the team.and any form of cricket is cricket at the end of the day.if you are a good cricketer then you can play all the formats of the game.it takes a lot of skill to play in t2o matches as the fielding and bowling are really tested.

Yes, you are right...T20 is not a cricket for them who understands it. Here you will not find class and technique that is the hallmark of Cricket. In the last world cup Zimbambwe beat Australia. In fact, any thing can happen in this type of cricket. Even a team of novice like India won the world Cup. They certainly did not deserved it. However, there are no harm in propagating it, if it is contain with the level that we see today. ICC is not allowing too much T20 matches on the cost of traditional one. T20 will bring more audiences to Cricket. The time used to be the major drawback of Cricket and it was becoming tough to keep track on matches in this fast paced world. For some Cricket lover T20 is a boon. So it should be allowed to continue. As for your comparison with baseball, I haven't seen any baseball matches....

It is partially true that T20 is becoming a hard hitters game. More and more muscle power is driving this format of the game. Many legends fail here miserably. But It also gives enough space for talented guys to use both muscles and talents in a right mixture. The impact of T20 is already can be seen in the way one day matches happen in recent times. Before T20, the scores of 200 to 250 were enough to defend on a cricket ground, but after the advent of T20 format, even 300+ runs seems to become quite achievable. It is because of this T20 format, most of batsmen can feel confident about any score to be achievable. In another angle to it, spending a whole day in a cricket ground to watch a one day match is too much of a task for anybody nowadays. But spending two and half hours to watch this T20 match is fine for almost all business people for entertainment.
