Does your dog like swimming in the ocean?

My dog doesnt get to many chances to swim in the ocean or water. But when we do get him to the beach he loves it. He is scared of rain and puddles but he sure likes the ocean. Does your dog like swimming the ocean or a lake?

that sounds just like my dog. She is 3 years old and she hates the rain taking a shower but if we go to a lake or when we went to the ocean she loved it.. .she is weird lol i have a weenie dog :)

he he ya now we have her and we just got a 3 month old chiweenie(chihuha*idk how to spell lol* and weenie dog mix) so i am wondering if he is going to like to go in the water or not!

Well, my dogs like to swim, but I never take them to the seaside, although if we went to the creek or river for fishing, they will happily jumped into the water and make the most out of it. Also, they are not afraid of rain or puddles, but somehow they dont really like to be left out in the rain. LOL.

River swimming would be fun for a dog. I never took him to a river.

We don't have a dog now, but we did has a German Shepherd who just could not wish to get into the sea and frolic with the swimmers in there. He used to come bounding back up the beach and just as he was in front of us, he would shake himself spraying us with the water. It was as if he thought we would enjoy our "shower" from him.. - Derek

Haven't put the doggie in the lake or ocean yet still waiting to figure that one out but the things is he's a husky and I can't let him run they have a tendency to keep going. Now if I had a pool I'd have a better idea if he would like to swim. LOL!! but as far as i know he hates the water. whines every time you give him a shower or a bath.
