I was completely unaware that Russia had sent a striking memorial to the USA on the fifth anniversary 9/11. It seems the MSM skipped over that "small" story. It really is a beautiful, skillfully crafted memorial in New York City, dedicated to the victims of the World Trade Center bombings in 1993 and 2001. Today is the first time I had heard of this gift to the USA from Russia.
Here is a link with picures and other information about the memorial:

I am impressed that Russia would go to such great lengths to express their solidarity with the USA in the war on terrorism.

I looked at the photos, and it is a beautiful how the Russians who before were America's enemies when Russia was the USSR, were so moved by the massacre of the victims of the World Trade Center that they made this memorial to their memory. This was all new to me. I wonder why it did not make a splash in the newspapers. I mean there were many there that were killed that were not all Americans.

I think at that point the MSM were trying so hard to cast the Bush administration in a bad light that they didn't want to hinder their efforts by reminding people about how he got us through the tough times after 9/11. It's a shame, seeing as how the Russian nation reached out to us with such empathy and it went largely unnoticed because the MSM decided not to air the story.

It is a beautiful memorial crafted by a famous Russian artist. Why the media skipped over such a great story is indeed a mystery.

That is indeed a really nice gesture. I wonder why the mainstream media skipped over it. It does look very nice. In fact it would probably have made a really nice memorial right where the World Trade Center was. Seems the plans for a memorial there get smaller and smaller. They even named it back to World Trade Center instead of Freedom Tower. Do people really forget that quickly?

It was indeed a nice jesture and pledge from the Russian nation to stand with us in the war on terror. How sad that it didn't get more coverage.
