online gambling? your opininons!

I play a LOT of poker online.
I always figured, if I'm not gambling real money then there's no harm to it?
But holy smokes.. I'm on these sites a lot!!
Mostly because it gives me something to do, and I like talking to the people you meet on these poker sites. I wouldn't even come close to saying I'm addicted to playing, because I'm really bad at it so once I realize I can't win, or I get bored.. which happens fast. I quit.
Anyway, your opinion? Online gambling, yay or nay.

Yay because it gives you something to do.
Nay because it's not a PRODUCTIVE thing to do.
Yay because you're NOT spending money.
Nay because you're not EARNING any, either.
You're right, though, if you're not gambling - what's the harm? Occasionally I go over to Pogo & play cribbage (not for money, of course), and it's really just to pass the time. So long as you make sure you DON'T invest any money in this kind of stuff, I think you'll be OK. I just don't trust those "online poker" sites - they seem like shady sites where people get scammed, if you ask me.

i actually invested 50 bucks into one of those online poker sites once. I tripled it.
Not so bad. Depending on the website you use they are pretty fun. And trusting. I like pogo, too! I play on there all the time. Mostly those little word games though. None of the free gambling.
