I hate taking medicine but if I'm very sick, I will. I try to let my body handle it its self so that it will become stronger but sometimes we just have to take something.

Keeping the stomach empty during cold will thwart the cold and bring comforts to the old.

No, I don't take medicines instantly when I feel I'm catching cold. I usually wait for it, but I try to avoid it too by drinking more vitamin C enriched food like fruits (oranges) and drinking a lot of water and exercising.

I try not to. When I start feeling sick, I eat more fruit & veges than I normally do plus I add more garlic to my food to help me get rid of my illness. If that doesn't work, then I use medicine as a last resort.
