Have you been a victim of April's Fools Day?

I am. This day, i got to check out youtube. and i got surprised. every thing is upside down. and they mentioned to view the video you must turn your monitor upside down for the reason that it is proven that turning it upside down will give a better and clearer picture in your monitor. or you must turn your head upside down. or go to Australia where every thing is upside down. then at the bottom of the page is Happy Fool's Day. Oh yes, i was fooled. To view it in normal way, just have to click the I wand the old fashioned view. So this one is only for this day. I got fooled. i thought it is really good for the monitor if we turn it upside down. i was seriously considering it. i was thinking how would i turn it upside down without destroying my monitor.

That is pretty cute! I haven't had any pranks pulled on me yet! I'm on my toes just waiting for one though! I've heard of other MyLot users posting "fake" discussions where they have some ridiculous problem they're asking for help with. Then when other users try to legitimately help them or give them advice, the original poster lets them know it was just an April Fool's joke. One of the cutest April Fools' jokes I've heard of happened to a friend of mine last year. At the office where she works, the boss put stickers on the bottom of everyone's computer mouses (computer mice?). So when the employees tried to move their cursors nothing would happen! Then when they turned the mice over, there was a sticker that said "April Fools!"

those are good pranks. i have not created or many any prank at all even in website. i am not good at making one.

just got an email from a spammers with a subject of " Your account has been banned "
so out of curiosity i opened up the email and i read it..
and it was also stated that it was a joke but it is totally a spammers or should i call scammers..

Well, I think you have been one of the responder to my april fool discussion but one discussion I would like to tell you that one of the user was posting discussion like.
"Hi guys! This is is xxxx's wife and I have a bad news for you. Mr. xxx is no more and he wanted me to give message to all his mylot friends."
At first I thought that it is true, then I realized that it is 1st April(Though it was 2nd April when I read that!LOL)
I have also read some more discussions here about AF day but don't remember them.
No, I don't play any prank on my friends on this day. I am not good at acting.

yeah i posted on your discussion this day and was not yesterday. yeah i guess people still carry this tradition of april's fools day. i wonder when this tradition started.

Well, I don't know exactly when but some 2000 years ago. Some country was trying to make a new calander and eventually they came to the point that 1st April should be the first day of the year.
Well, after some research they thought that 1st January would be better but still some of the guys still celebrated new years on 1st April. Other guys used to call them fool and the day was started called a fool day.
Exact story I don't remember because I have read it some 10-15 years ago!
