I think ,during working ,we should do more works and boast little of yourself, your achievement is from your real actions. every boss dislike any emploree who only can flatter the senior but do nothing. certainly, you may encounter some colleagues who make you unhappy and even block you in working. in my opinions, you should keep your temper , and do your jobs, don't quarrel with him, you should show your grace

I argee with you; we shouldn't be getting upset over some dumb co-worker who decides not to do his share of the work. Although, if I were in that position, I would alert the boss about my concerns, just so that they have an idea of what's going on.

well,I am thinking that alert the boss about our concerns is not a good way to solve such problems, youu boss may think that you are mean-spirited.

You're right about not getting into a fight with obnoxious co-workers. All I do is keep quiet and keep to myself when I'm irritated by them. It's not also only about sucking up to the boss but also about having bad work ethics - like being rude to your colleagues just because you're frustrated with your job. There should always be a professional courtesy in our work-place relationships :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Well, no matter where you work there will always be the people that most would consider difficult and in a real job would probably have no chance to keep hired there as well. Sometimes these are the ones who are always trying to smooth talk the Boss to keep from being yelled at, or written up but at the same time not really caring about anything else as well. I know we have a couple of people like this where I work. You just learn to ignore them and hope for the Best.

bad employees will eventually dig their own grave and get fired. its good to show grace and not sink down to their level.
