Best Way to Deal With Difficult Co-Workers?

I argee with you; we shouldn't be getting upset over some dumb co-worker who decides not to do his share of the work. Although, if I were in that position, I would alert the boss about my concerns, just so that they have an idea of what's going on.

You're right about not getting into a fight with obnoxious co-workers. All I do is keep quiet and keep to myself when I'm irritated by them. It's not also only about sucking up to the boss but also about having bad work ethics - like being rude to your colleagues just because you're frustrated with your job. Well, no matter where you work there will always be the people that most would consider difficult and in a real job would probably have no chance to keep hired there as well. Sometimes these are the ones who are always trying to smooth talk the Boss to keep from being yelled at, or written up but at the same time not really caring about anything else as well. I know we have a couple of people like this where I work. You just learn to ignore them and hope for the Best.

bad employees will eventually dig their own grave and get fired. its good to show grace and not sink down to their level.

dont mind them. think that they did not exist in your area. though time will come that you will be pissed off with them. what i did if i feel pissed off with those unbearable people i just get out of the organization
