I am not using a genuine operating system and I am planning to buy a new one but it its very expensive. Currently I am using a Windows XP and I downloaded it using torrent downloading. I am having no problem with my Windows XP and I do not update it. The Updates from Microsoft is can be ignore because your windows can run without it. As long your system runs with your program then stick with it. It is only my opinion. Happy Mylotting.

Give a try to the free Linux systems, many of them are having all an average user needs, and you can have them free, just to name some: OpenSuSe, Debian, Ubuntu... Just search for the names and there will be many of them, some even has a so called live CD/DVD, you just put it in boot it up and check what it has.

Yep,I have tried Linux and requested Ubuntu 8 installer. I had received the package and installed in my vmware. I like the computing in ubuntu. I installed programs using the internet. I have read tutorials in the internet and it was fun though but my programs and games run in windows.

If you want to play games I'd recommend buying a game console, many games on PC always has problems, freezing etc. but on a console they seem to work just fine.

Thanks for the comment! But I am computer desktop fanatic. It really hangs if you don't have a good hardware configuration in your computer.

The system and all the software i am using are all genuine... my boss wanted it that way... since we are in an office and we cannot afford to use a system with a glitch or two... it cost her a lot of money... but i think it is all worth it...

I use to have my computer run in operating systems that were not genuine. Yeah, aside from them being more affordable, you can still run the computer even if you don't update it at all. The bad part in my case was that the ones I get were unstable. I really get annoyed whenever I have to re-install the operating system along with the other applications that I have installed. I will however try to recover the system as installing applications would prompt that feature every now and then but, when recovery doesn't work.. well, reformat. When I got the chance to have a genuine one, things seems to get better. I can update it and avail upgraded features like that of IE 7 and I think there's already IE 8 but, I'm not yet going there.. I am also a windows media player user so I with the genuine OS, our WMP is so far the 11th. Just use codecs so that I wouldn't have to install other media players to play different media files.

My operating system is Windows XP. Actually it is not genuine, but I make it Genuine after installing it, by using a small trick. If you need to know how to make XP Genuine, add me as friend. Then I will send you a direct message with that Trick.
