The third test between indi and new zealand will start tomorrow very early in the morning(indian standard time of course). The conditions are going to be verycold and the wikets will have bounce and pace in it unlike the flat pitches so far on the tour which the indian players enjoyed. Most importantly there will be swing as well which brought the downfall of the indian batsmen in every match on the last tour to new zealand. What do you think are india's chances of winning or losing this test match?

Good top hear that the pitch will assist the bowlers. To be honest iam bored watching matches that batsmen dominate on all four days, so hopefully there will be some good competition between bat and ball.

Yes the pitch will be a hard one with good bouce and pace for three days at least and the ball is supposed to swing under favourable conditions so we coukd be in for an exciting contest between bat and ball.

With the first days play coming to an end, it seems India can't lose this test. After the middle order collapsed, the lower order batsmen or the tail-enders have played well and now India ia at 375/9. From here India's chance of losing the test diminishes. But we can't say about winning this test. The test may end up with a draw. Fingers crossed... There is one certainity- India will come back with a series win after 41 long years gap... Cheers for India...!!!!!!!!!!!

By what logic have india's chances of losing diminished and how could the test be a draw. One innings is more or less completed in one day. There will surely be a result in this match. If nz score 400 in a day and a session they will be in front. How do you say india cant lose this match?

Scoring 400 runs in a day won't be easy for NZ and just scoring 400 runs will not be enough for NZ. If they've to win this test, they should take a lead of atleast 100-150 runs and put India on back-foot. I am not saying that India can't lose but the chances diminishes. In cricket anything can happen. But with the way pitch is behaving and the Indian side has played after the collapse of its middle order, it will really be difficult for the kiwis to win this game.

Toss will play a major role. The team winning toss will make a right move. Either batting or bowling.if the team winning toss bowls first and get the wickets of opposition earlier its an advantage for them.i feel indians are under pressure to win the series. But its quite easy for us still a draw can earn the victory.most important is Indians should look for victory from the 1st day instead of draw. all the best india.

Yes both captains whoever they maybe since dhoni is still not certain to play will look to bowl first to make use of the conditions but there are very less chances of the match being a draw.

Well its simple its a hard surface which has bounce and pace. And the cold conditions will help the bowlers swing the ball.

I think now it is hard to say anything about the result because the weather conditions are not so much in favour with india. Lets hope for the best.

The conditions may not favour the indian batting but will certainly help the seamers and the spinner can be handy too.

India has a great chance to win in the third test. In the last match indians has really showed what they can do. And also in the last match Captin M S Dhoni was not there. Now it is a different situation. Caption M S Dhoni is there and the moral of the team is high. I am expecting a great and easy win by Indians. Lets see what happens next.

It would be a great win indeed but certainly not an easy one. The batsmen will have to play out of their skins and the fielders have to take their catches because fielding is going to be tough in such adverse cold conditions.

I think it is hard to say before the game starts. The condition is not very suitable for India as it seems. Still hope India plays well.

Hello,Pratik! The Wellington pitch won't be favorable for Indian batsman because of its wind and bounce in the pitch. The weather condition also will not suit to the Indians. As the record goes India had won a match here about 33 years back.India has played here eight matches and own one and lost four mathes and managed to draw three. So the record is not encouraging. So it will be better if India manages to end the match in a draw.thanx.

well that is the problem. india is neither looking for a draw nor will they get one. this match will have a result one way or the other. this test match wont be another one dominated by the batsmen if there is swing in it. if there is swing the bowlers will come into play heavily and if a game relies on the bowlers of the two teams then there will be a result for sure.

india will surely win the last test match and win the series 2-0. the pitch is not the traditional pitch and it was said it will be very good for batting on day 2 and 3 with uneven bounce on the last 2 days.dont expect spin either. besides,if the newzealand bowlers want to use swing to demolish the indian attack, they have to be prepared for it too.the duo of zaheer and sharma can be too dangerous to handle on swinging conditions whats more, the new zealand bowling attack is not attacking enough sure they managed to take 10 wickets in the first innings of the second test not because of very good bowling alone the batsmen threw their wicket away and proved that new zealand bowling is not deadly in the second innings.

yes the new zealand batsmen have to be prepared and their preparation is better than the indians because these conditions are familiar to them. india dominated the first four matches of the odi series but in swinging conditions in the fifth odi even jesse ryder and jacob oram were too hot to handle for the indian batsmen. if the new zealand bowlers find their ability with swing bowling it would be troube for the batsmen. and ishant sharma has not played in such cold conditions it will be difficult for him.

well i think now that dhoni is going to captain the indian team in the third test , the lucky talisman of team india, the team would be really confident going into this match. but not much can be said going into the third match until the fist hour of the play is done we cannot imagine of the further situation of each team.

I hope the conditions are good for bowling because the previous test match was very boring.I hate high scoring test matches and love low scoring test matches. In my opinion those are the most fun to watch. It was swing which brought the downfall of indian batsmen on the last tour but the new zealand batsmen didnt do too well either. Its just that they had superb bowlers like Shane Bond who was far better than the Indian bowlers. This time if there is swing, India will win because its bowlers are better and batsmen as well.It was swing which brought the downfall of the NZ batsmen in the first test(and first session of second test),so they must be more afraid than Indian batsmen (most of which are technically better than NZ batsmen). The NZ batsmen will have an advantage because of the cold weather and nothing else.Swing will affect both.So its going to be an interesting test match.

yeah you are right indian bowlers will bowl well too. but the new zealand batsmen are born and bred on such types of wickets. so swing bowling is a known component for them. we saw in the last odi match the indian batsmen really struggled with the swing offered by the track and couldnt get on top of ryder and oram. but the test team has experienced batsmen they could not cope with it the last time lets see how it goes this time.and the new zealand team is certain to bring back the youngster southee who is adept at swing bowling.

the new zealand players have lived their entire lives there but are still finding the conditions cold. brendon mcullum has himself said so. the conditions in this part are much colder than anywhere else in new zealand and it is going to be a problem for the indians.we might see a few catches being dropped in this test match as well because of the cold.
