I love watching movies and we usually buy one a month to add to our collection. We both like a lot of different kinds so we either buy one we both like or take turns picking. There’s no shortage to pick from b/c we’ve been replacing our old VHS with DVD’s. Right now I’d like to get Gone With The Wind…I saw a little of it a while back and really liked it. Hubby would like to get the Babylon 5 series I think. What movie would you buy right now, to keep, if you had the money to spend on it…your absolute favorite? Is it one your whole family would like or just you? How do you choose which movie to buy? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I am not much of a movie watcher but I do love "Dirty Dancing" and the "Wizard of Oz." The black and white copy was good but do prefer the color movie after seeing it once. My husband likes all the Science Fiction and sports movies. I would watch the sports movies but have no interest in Science Fiction. We don't buy many dvd's since we have a good selection of movie channels on cable.

Well fist off, I feel real lucky in that most of the movies that my fiancée and I do buy, we both want to see. We do have our moments of having to decide between a "his and a hers", but that is kind of rare. I feel like I've hit the jack-pot though when we look in the $5 bin because we each get one or two that we've wanted, LoL. As for a favorite, it used to be "Never Been Kissed", with Drew Barrymore. Now, it HAS to be "A Lot Like Love", with Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet. I can't really put my finger on why I love it so much, but I'm so happy that I've had the chance to see it.

Whenever I watch TV, I make sure it is wholesome and worth my time. I prefer feel good movies. Those that will make me look at the good and happy side of life despite some problems. My all time favorite is the classic movie "The Sound of Music. which is considered as the ultimate feel good movies of all time. It starred Julie Andrews who was then one of Hollywood's most promising up-and-coming musical star. It was shown in 1965 when I was barely 9 years old but I appreciated it a lot then from then on I would watch this movie every now and then whenever I have time. I love the songs a lot, the lush background locations, the talented cast, the production is very wholesome. It is a sentimental story with sympathetic heroes, historic villains that could appeal to people of all ages. The movie became an international blockbuster and up to now I am still keeping a copy of it that I watch along with my family and grandchildren from time to time.

If I was going to buy a movie to keep for a collection I would go for the old classics such as "To kill a mocking bird”,” East of Eden" and "Casablanca" to name a few, "Gone with the wind" would be in there too of course. I also wouldn't mind starting a collection of all the movies based on Stephen King novels; I have all his books so a film assortment would be great.

I generally don't collect movies. Just watch them and pass it off. Not keen in storing them. Not one or two... there are quite couple of movies that are my altime favourite. Its... "Million Dollar Bany" "Behind Enemy Lines" Generally I prefer movies that can be watched by every body sitting together.

It would definitely be The Passion Of The Christ. To me, that is the best movie of all time. I use to have it, but some how it was misplaced. I am living with my sister now and I believe that she has it. When her triplets first seen it, for a while they watched it every day.

I have amassed quite a collection of dvds which I am very glad for at this time. Since we don't have Cable or Satelite TV right now they are coming in very handy. I have quite a number of kids shows and my grandkids watch them over and over. They never seem to tire of them even when they can quote the dialog.
