I read tha there are 30,962 users who have participated in that interest and that the user is listed at 297 due to his amount of participation in that particular interest. He has 296 users ahead of him who have participated more than he has.

i too have no idea how to increase my ranking and how they determine the ranking. but i don't look up on my ranking actually. i just remember that there is a ranking because of your discussion. let us see if i have improved on ranking a lot.

You want a lower number. You want to be 1 out of 3689. If you are ranked #1 out of 40 then you are the one that was rated the most +'s. on your profile go to "my intrest rankings" and you can see where you stand with each of your intrestes. My best is I am ranked 1 out of 495 in the family guy intrest.

It is the thing I have been wanting to find out what it is. I don't know what it means. Is the star and the rank two different animal? When I point on my star in front on my name, it says 95/100, what does it mean? And what does it mean of the other rank?

I think 297 must the rank we made out of 30,962 people who had participated in the discussions or topics. I think it is fun to have ranks as this helps us to feel better and happy. I always love to see good ranks in the topics.

well it just shows your rank among the whole number of users in that interest. it just shows how much you have participated in that particular interest as compared to others. about rank if you have participated in more discussion be it via replying to a discussion or starting a new discussion then it affects your rank.if you participate more than your rank keep getting better in a particular interest.
