YAY! We are going to GA to visit my family this weekend. It's been two months since I saw them last. I know that's not a long time for some people, but I'm used to seeing them once a month. The weather and my health have stopped more visits lately. It's supposed to be clear on Friday and Saturday, so we are leaving tomorrow evening and coming back Saturday evening. A short visit, but better than nothing.

I like Georgia. I am from Illinois but in the UK at present. I have a grandaughter who lives with her father just North of Atlanta. I think it is called Snellville. have been there just once. I am planning on being back in the USA in late May and when I get there if she isn't coming to Illinois to her Mothers for the summer we will no doubt go to see her. She is 17 and I miss her a lot. I have flown into Atlants on several occasions to get a connecting flight - if the town is like the airport then it's a zoo.

LOL, Atlanta can be bad. Lots and lots of traffic and the people drive crazy and fast. Just have to be careful and know where you are going, or have someone with you to guide you...watching signs and so forth. I'm glad you are getting to come for a visit.

Hope you have a good and safe trip! I can understand where you are coming from on wanting to see them. What part of Ga?

Adairsville. It's in north GA. Takes us 2 hours to get there from our house. We are having a cook out at my sisters house, which should be fun.

Sounds great! It is nice to get away even if it is for just a few days. We live in Australia and my husband's family live on the other side of the country so for us to visit them entails a plane ride and a bit more expense! My family live here so that's not so hard. Have a great time and enjoy the get away and your family!

Thank you. I'm sure we'll have a good time. Cookouts are always fun, and they are calling for great weather tomorrow so that helps. I wish I got to see them more often, so usually really enjoy the time I do have.

I am going to GA in June to visit my best friend.. She lives in lawrenceville. I am not familiar to much with GA, ( I am from New York} but I know its about 45 minutes north of Atlanta. Is that near where you are going?

The place I'm going is about an hour from Atlanta, and it is north, but still different direction than Lawrenceville. I hope you enjoy your visit. How long since you saw your friend?
