I have done badly on a test and I am very down in the dumps. I studied quite a bit for this test and I did way worse than I thought that I was going to. What do you do when you have done badly on a test that you feel you should have done better on. I have talked to my teacher and it was graded fairly, but I feel that I have let myself down a lot. Thanks in advance.

wa...wa...waaa...so what you did bad on a test after studyin on it. It isnt the end of the world. People everyday do bad on tests they take and i will tell you why we do bad on em. We do bad on a test because when we hear the word test we panic and it makes us forget somethings and do worst that wat we expected.

Hey hey, just so you know, I didn't post that last comment labeled as me, there was a bit of a login mix up.. Look for the spelling errors if you don't believe me, I believe in grammar.

When I have done badly on a test, I would of course feel bad. However, I don't dwell on it too much. What I did was to do things I enjoy such as hanging out with friends. Activities that you enjoy will help you to relax and will take away your blues. It's not bad to enjoy after you have been frustrated, after all we're humans and we commit mistakes. =)

Hi. There is no one to be blamed for a situation like that and hence nothing we can do about it. If you have something like that coming up then prepare for it, give it and forget about it.

Disappointed. But what keeps in mind is to make it much worthy. And have to accept it, so that it would serve as a challenge to grow more. What i mean is to work harder than what have been done...Meaning still not worth to pass. But be pessimistic...

If i have performed badly on a test, i would try my very best to not think about it and just forget it, but i normally try my best with tests anyway, as i know its going towards your future, so i don't think it would be too much of a problem for me anyway. But if i have done badly on a test i would maybe ask to retake one.

In such situations, I would react in two ways. 1) If it is a final test, then I just close my books... keep them aside and forget till I get my results. 2) If it is a mid test, I just go through the questions and find out what went wrong and would remember them not to do the same mistakes again.

Since the test is over, you can do nothing with your regret. If I were you, I would pray some God for having a pass, and prepare for the next session if it's necessary.

The response will be depending upon how important the test was. If it was a class test with not much of a long term consequence then just taking it as a situation for analyzing what went wrong will be the best course of action according to me. Even if it was a test of great consequences, then as they say "It is not the end of the world!". Undue worries are to be avoided. If you have faced the situation bravely and not let yourself worry too much, meticulously analyzed the situation and continued that smile on your face you have done well in the test irrespective of the outcome!

Find out what you struggle with and study that the hardest. Don't let one bad grade make you feel badly about yourself. You can always do better next time.

The same thing happened just recently to me and I was very disappointed in myself until I realized that he expected all of us to have been through chemistry (I'm in Genetics). I wasn't the lowest in my class either, though definitely in the bottom half. I hate it, but I have to admit that I just want to pass this one. Ive take two tests in this class and went up, but not much. In your case, I would try to see what you can do different and maybe find a study buddy or two. Good luck in your class and I hope you do better!

The best thing you can do is go over your test to see where you went wrong, and learn what it was you missed so you can better understand the subject and hopefully do better do the next test.

If I perform badly on a test, I usually try to figure out where I went wrong, usually by checking over it myself or asking the teacher personally. Everyone makes mistakes and you cannot pass exams with flying colours 100% of the time therefore you need to accept failure and learn from it.
