Today has been a busy day. My hubby and I took our son for a long walk. We ran an errand. I got busy with laundry. I had a bunch of other chores. It just slipped my mind. We we over an hour late in feeding the dog. Have you ever forgotten to feed your pet? No wonder she was so antsy.

My guys don't care. If I am one hour late, 3 hours early or 6 late, as long as they get fed before I go to work.

My husky has food available all day to him. I have a cup of dry food upstairs in the bathroom and a cup of dry food down stairs and when the bowls are empty who ever sees it refills it house rule. that way the dog doesn't go hungry.

Ah, my doggie tends to get irritating if she's been forgotten or neglected. Especially where food is concerned. She's not a fat dog, but she does get excitable about food. :)

Hello ersmommy. Well, right now I don't have a pet dog, but I used to have. When my wife and I were away from home for the whole day, we usually fed our poodle first and then we would leave some more food for her to eat when we were not home so that she would not go hungry. This was what we did to our cute poodle.

Yes I have. I have also been the one to feed the dog and then the kids feed the dog again later in the day. So, those days the dog eats too much. It was only an hour. I would not feel too bad if I were you. It could have been worse. You could have forgotten over night too.

Just an hour isn't that bad. I live alone & was sick one day. I didn't feed my 2 dogs until the next day. Boy were they glad to see me!!! I try to be sure to feed them every day, but that day I was dizzy & afraid to walk out on the porch & bend over to pick up their bowls. I was afraid I'd tumble down the steps or off the side of the porch onto my head. I decided that my health was more important than their hungry tummies. Anyway, they both needed to go on a diet!!!
