i have this problem my daughter is going to be 11 months old and i always breast fed her because its good for her and she cant have formula because shes allergic to all of it,but it seem my milk supply got lower because she really hasnt wanted it lately she has milk every once in awhile along with juice but most of the time she use to only want to breast feed a couple times other than that she dont want it , i tryed to give it to her when shes hungry and it seems she dont want it so i try milk and she dont want that either, so i am confused, has anyone ever had this problem, should i worry about this because i never had this problem before.

Hi. I nursed both my kids till they were about the same age as your daughter. Both of them got too big by 11 months old, so I was only nursing them first thing in the morning and at bedtime. Milk is produced by supply/demand, so it only makes sense that you are not producing a lot because she is not nursing alot. She may be ready to wean herself, or possibly she is teething. As long as she is getting nourishment and not losing weight, it should be okay. Keep trying and you may just find that she is not interested in nursing anymore. Good luck to you and Happy myLotting.

My son is 9 months old when he was about 7 months old he stopped eating as much as he was all of a sudden. I pumped more to keep my milk supply up because it was goind down. I pump three times at work still so that I know I have enough for him. He eats from me in the morning and at night and about 1 bottle when I'm at work. Then he has juice and water. I wouldn't worry about it unless she's not getting enough fluids. If you feel concerned or if she starts losing weight I would contact your doctor.
