Why is AWsurveys such a popular website despite it's very obvious scamminess?

I've been thinking long and hard about this and the only reason I came up with as to why AWsurveys the scam website is still around after so long is because it's "promised incentive" as in the major amount of money that you can potentially get(which 95% of the people end up not getting.) appeals to lots of people and they end up not confirming the legitimacy of the site and sometimes promote it like crazy regardless of whether they prove it to be legit or not just to get a chance to see if they're one of the 5% that actually receives money. So what do you think, why do you think AWsurveys is still around?
