Putting yourself above everything else

Is it a crime to put yourself above everything. People say its selfishness, but what or who in this world are not selfish? To survive in this world I think you should give yourself a great deal of importance and put yourself above everything. What do you guys have to say?

It's not a crime but it's bad. I still believe that there are still people who are not selfish, maybe they're just so few, but hey it's still possible that they still exist in this world ^_^.
Actually it's really nice to be superior right? But being superior in everything can not guarantee your happiness in life. I guess when you're already at that stage there will be more problems you will encounter.(And you need to survive them all plus you'll think that you should never make any mistakes)No..no..no...what a life!!!
